What is FOMTA?

From One Mother To Another a Tucson based nonprofit committed to the children in our community. We believe to maximize our impact on Tucson's children we must support their families. Our goal is to develop relationships with a variety of organizations and businesses in Tucson. From One Mother to Another hopes to serve as a bridge to connect families with the services that they need.

From One Mother To Another also help families who are in need of diapers, wipes, strollers, clothes, and much more. Everything we give has been donated to us from the community. We deliver the donations to the directly to the families. From One Mother to Another is not affiliated with and religious or political institutions. We help families in need, no questions asked. We have a small profile that we complete for every family to assess their needs.

Who started FOMTA?

From One Mother To Another was founded by sisters, Elizabeth Caraballo and Naomi Caraballo-Green. Naomi(29) has two little boys, ages one and three. Elizabeth(31) has a one year old little girl. This is our story...

It all started with the birth of Naomi's first son, Elijah. The beginning was trial by fire. We had so much to learn, everything had to change, and we felt like there was so much at stake. Naomi's first instinct was to get public assistance. She was certain there was help out there but we found the application process difficult and learned that needing help does not necessarily qualify you for help.

Advice, kind words, humor, and tons of hand-me-downs from other mothers (and fathers) were key to our survival in the beginning. We used these gifts to provide for our families. Every time we were given a bag of clothes or groceries we thought of those who weren't so fortunate. We thought of mothers who don't have a network of friends and families to support them. We became passionate about sharing what we had with other mothers.

Over the years we have made some amazing friendships with these moms and learned that this is where our hearts are.

So, From One Mother To Another, we are here to make it better for you. We will give you every trick up our sleeve and do our best to fill in the gaps.

From One Mother To Another is in the process of filing for 501(c)3 the Articles of Incorporation were filed April 28, 2008 in Tucson. AZ. From One Mother To Another is officially an organization as of June 12, 2008
