Who, What, Why.... From One Mother to Another is a non profit organization committed to helping parents provide for their families in Southern Arizona. It was founded by sisters, Elizabeth Caraballo and Naomi Caraballo-Green. Naomi, 29, has two little boys, 1 and 3. Elizabeth, 31, has a one year old little girl. This is our story... It all started four years ago with the birth of Naomi's first son, Elijah. The beginning was trial by fire. We had so much to learn, everything had to change, and we felt like there was so much at stake. Naomi's first instinct was to get help, she was certain there was help out there. Often public assistance was difficult to apply for and we learned that needing help does not necessarily qualify you for help.
Advice, kind words, humor, and tons of hand-me-downs from other mothers (and fathers) were key to our survival in the beginning. We used these gifts to provide for our families. Every time we were given a bag of clothes or groceries we thought of those who were not that fortunate. We became passionate about giving what we had to other mothers we would meet who needed a little help.
Over the years we have made some amazing friendships with these moms and learned that this is where our hearts are.
So, from one mother to another... we're here to keep paying it forward and make it better for you. We will give you every trick up our sleeve and do our best to fill the gaps.
